Service · Copywriting
Words that mean something. Not just fill space.
Writing for brands that have something specific to say and want it said well. Website copy, campaign copy, brand voice, long-form. Clear, considered, and edited enough times that it feels effortless. No marketing-speak, no filler, and no greenwashing for the sustainability work.
What's included
Brand voice
Voice and tone guidelines
How your brand should sound — on the homepage, in a customer service reply, in a pitch deck. A practical voice guide that your team can actually use, not a 30-page philosophy document.
Website copy
Copy that earns the scroll
Homepages, service pages, about pages, product pages. Clear, specific, with the kind of detail that makes a prospect trust you. SEO-aware without sounding written for a robot.
Campaign copy
Campaign and editorial work
Launch announcements, case studies, email sequences, long-form articles. Written to a brief, edited until it is tight, delivered in the format your team uses.
How we work
Five stages. No mystery.
- 01
Listen
A conversation about what the business actually does, who it talks to, and what has been written before. We read your existing copy, your reviews, and anything your customers have said to you verbatim.
- 02
Scope
A one-page brief — pages, word counts, voice, deadlines. Agreed before writing starts so nobody is guessing at the end.
- 03
Draft
A first pass written to the brief. Opinionated enough to react to, restrained enough to be a genuine draft rather than a showreel.
- 04
Refine
Two rounds of edits included as standard. We push back where we disagree, and we defer where the call is yours. No precious writers.
- 05
Handover
Copy delivered in the format you need — Google Doc, CMS-ready, or straight into the page. Plus voice notes if they will be useful to whoever writes next.

Frequently asked
Copywriting questions we hear a lot.
- How much does website copywriting cost?
- Copywriting projects at OakFox typically range from £900 for a single well-crafted landing page to £6,000+ for a full website copy overhaul including voice guidelines. Every quote is case-by-case, priced on scope and expertise required rather than word count. We send a detailed proposal after a free initial call.
- Do you write SEO-optimised copy?
- Yes — but we write for readers first, search engines second. That means keyword research informs topic and structure, not sentence composition. Pages rank because they answer a search intent better than the competition, not because they stuff the target phrase into every paragraph. We deliver copy that reads naturally and ranks.
- What is the difference between copywriting and content writing?
- Copywriting is persuasive, commercially-oriented writing: homepages, service pages, email sequences, landing pages. Content writing is editorial or educational: articles, guides, long-form resources. We do both, but brief them differently — copy earns a decision, content earns trust.
- Will you use my existing brand voice or create one?
- Either. If you have a voice guide, we stress-test it and write to it. If you do not, we can develop one as the first module of the project — principles, tone rules, vocabulary lists, examples of good and bad for your team to reference when they write. It takes a few hours and pays for itself forever.
- How do you handle sustainability claims and avoid greenwashing?
- Every claim we write is one you could defend to a regulator. We ask for evidence, check supplier chains where relevant, and refuse to write vague language like "eco-friendly" or "planet-positive" without substantiation. Clear claims, honest caveats, stronger brand — greenwashing is a short-term gain and a long-term reputational liability.
- How many rounds of revisions are included?
- Two rounds of edits are included as standard on all copywriting engagements. Most projects never need the second. Additional rounds are chargeable at a transparent hourly rate, agreed in the proposal, but are rarely needed.
