Design
One focused direction developed in detail, rather than three shallow options. You get design decisions with reasoning, not a deck of lookbooks.

Refine
Two rounds of revisions included. Tested on real content, real screen sizes, and against the accessibility standard you actually need to meet.

Handover
Design system file, asset library, and a walk-through with your developers. Or straight into our build hands if we are doing the development too.

- How much does a website design project cost?
- Web design engagements at OakFox typically range from £3,500 for a focused landing-page design to £15,000+ for a full multi-page site with a design system, research, and accessibility auditing. Every quote is case-by-case. We send a detailed written proposal after a free initial call.
- How long does it take to design a website?
- A focused marketing site typically takes four to eight weeks from kick-off to design sign-off. A larger content-led site with research, design system, and multiple stakeholder reviews usually runs ten to fourteen weeks. We agree the timeline during scoping and protect it with weekly milestone reviews.
- What does "sustainable web design" actually mean?
- Sustainable web design reduces the energy required to serve and use a website: smaller page weights, fewer requests, efficient images, minimal JavaScript, clean semantic markup, and hosting on verified renewable-powered infrastructure. It also means designing for longevity — sites that do not need rebuilding in two years because the framework fell out of fashion.
- Do you design accessible websites?
- Yes, accessibility is baked in from the start rather than retrofitted. We design against WCAG 2.2 AA as a minimum — colour contrast, focus states, semantic structure, keyboard navigation, screen-reader labelling, and real content testing. Accessibility audits happen at each sprint, not at the end.
- Do you hand over a design system or just final files?
- A design system is the default deliverable — components, tokens, typography scales, spacing rules, and usage guidelines in a working Figma file. Your future pages build faster and stay visually consistent. Static PDFs are available on request, but they rot quickly and we do not recommend them.
- Can OakFox build the website too, or do I need a separate developer?
- Either works. Many clients take design and development as a single engagement with us — fewer handoffs, faster delivery. If you have a developer already, we deliver a rigorous handover package so they can build confidently from the system. We also do design-only work for agencies.
